Winters Past

Seasons greetings from Staffordshire University and The Sentinel

Extreme weather is the theme of our latest photographic exhibition, we've raided the Sentinel’s extensive newspaper archives to unearth photographs taken across Staffordshire over a 100 year period.

The images that make up the Winters Past exhibition document how Staffordshire landmarks like Rudyard Lake, Westport Lake, Werrington and the City Centre have stood up to extremes of snow and ice in the last century.

Taking place in the dedicated exhibition space in the Science Centre, Winters Past is open to the public from 9am – 4pm Monday to Friday. Free parking is available on the University’s Leek Road campus and The Coffee Lab will be open for drinks and refreshments.
